Have you ever heard of Bart's PE Builder. It's a free tool to create a Windows XP/2003 bootable CDROM with the possibility to enhance it with plugins. For instance, you can add a virus scanner, network support, Nero installation and more. This makes it the ideal resque CD or DVD.

Check out the website of Bart Lagerweij at www.nu2.nu

I have been creating BartPE CDROMs for quiet some time now, and I have found that I had a lot of ISO's on my harddisk, and lot's of CDRs with some build of BartPE.

To keep more track of what version of my Bart PE CDROM I had, I created this small utility that will allow you to overlay a verion or build number and time stamp over the bartpe.bmp background file that will always display during runtime.

So when I have an ISO that I simulate using VMWare I can tell what version it is. Also the CDR builds can be checked on this version or timestamp.

It's nothing fancy but I needed it for myself, and I wanted to share this with all of you.

Hope anyone likes it and will sent me an email just to let me know, or to pass on suggestions.
