VPNRoute solves routing problems when using Microsoft's VPN client embedded in Windows 2000/XP. When you connect to a VPN terminator using Windows 2000/XP and you have the Default Gateway on the remote network (default) you might notice that your local gateway to the internet doesn't work anymore. This also means that your local browser can't be used anymore until you disconnect the VPN tunnel.
When you disable the 'Default gateway on the remote network' you will loose routing to the remote networks. You can always add manual routes to the remote site or sites, but this must be done at the console manually.
VPNRoute can be configured using an INI file per connection, and you can create a batch file that must be ran after making the VPN connection. Then the VPNRoute script will add the manual routes for you automatically.
